The staff were most helpful and qualified; almost all spoke english fluently. The advised and organized tours made op to their promises. The room was comfortabel, big and clean. Not a negative thing to say really.
Cheery and helpful staff, who could speak English well
Shower room was very small and cramped.A guest lounge would have been good
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpfull.
The bathroom was below average and the breakfast room was very hot and not attractive to sit. The atmosphere in the hotel was not very cozy.
The hotel staff were extremely helpful and gave a lot of useful information, they really looked after their guests. The location of the hotel is perfect, right next to the lake, the old town, the french quarter, easy walking distance to any place of interest.
very friendly people, got extra breakfast when arriving from our night flight on the first morning. they gave a very nice christmass eve -drink for all the staff and guests. It was a family-experience ! Very central location in the center of the old hanoi.
The computer in the room is great. Employees are helpful and nice and give a very valuable assistance in booking the visit tours.
Rooms are noisy and not well cleaned regularly. Lot of dust behind the curtain.
The staff were incredibly friendly, personable, helpful, keen to do the best and they work as a team. Regardless of what time of day or query we posed, they made the bricks a mortar our Hanoi home
If there were any deficiencies, the staff eclipsed them.
The hotel itself was clean and well-kept, but it was the staff that made it memorable. They were very helpful and treated me like an old friend. Next time I go back to Hanoi I will stay at the Jasmine again, and hopefully I will have time to take advantage of some of the tours they offer.
The staff went out of there way to please us and even got us better deals on tours than we could get over the net
It's very conveniently located and easy to find. It's also in the heart of the city, near the Lake - this makes for navigation to be easy. I also loved the huge servings of fruit at breakfast - although there should be some discretion used in serving. Asians generally eat smaller portions than Europeans/Americans/Australians etc. We were Asian visitors and always found the serving size in many places way too big thus causing food wastage. It is a thought to offer two portions as an option, so people get to choose. The more choice you offer, the more your customers feel comfortable and will be back.
I felt the cleaners could have wiped down the bath area each day instead of just adjusting the towels and emptying the rubbish. I had ask the cleaners to sweep up the floor as well on day 2 as I found from Day 1, when they had cleaned the room, they didn't sweep up the bathroom floor. Perhaps periodically someone should monitor the cleaners.
Really impressive hotel in a perfect location just 50m from Hoan Kiem Lake. The room was a great size and very clean and well appointed. The staff, however, were the hotel's greatest asset and seemed intent on maximising my enjoyment. I was travelling alone so having friendly staff who spoke very good English to chat to was a great bonus. I have travelled all over Asia and this is one of the best value hotels I've stayed at.
Great staff and terric value for money!
Everything was great!
The hotel is well located in the heart of the Old Quarter but it is not a luxury hotel and does not claim to be so. The room I had was very clean and in excellent condition but the bathroom was not in a good condition as the drain was worn out and stained and made the rest of the bathroom appear dirty even though it was not. I had a room at the back of the hotel so it was very quiet. I had also just returned from the Ha Long Bay trip so was relieved to have a comfortable room to sleep in (after having stayed for one night in a boat). The room was excellent value for money and the hotel has free internet and printing facilities in the lobby (which a lot of hotels in Hanoi do not have). The breakfast was also excellent so I would stay here again.
The bathroom needs to be refurbished as it could do with a bit of a re-paint and re-decoration
Firendly staff, perfect airport pickup arrangement, good price/quality ratio.
Some rooms have no desk or window. Breakfast room needs refurnishing and bit broader choice in dishes.
What I really loved about my stay at the Jasmine, was the staff! Ms. Spring made sure that either she or one of her staff took care of all my questions and requests. I needed help buying thngs, and then shipping them home, and they took great care of me. I also found the food in the hotel restaurant to be at least as good, and at least as cheap as the other places I ate!
